A master class in the 4Cs of diamonds

There are four key areas of consideration when it comes to assessing and grading the quality of a diamond: Cut, Colour, Clarity, and Carat Weight. Together they comprise the “4Cs” – the critical characteristics that need to be understood when making a diamond purchase.

Every diamond is unique and the combination of Cut, Colour, Clarity, and Carat Weight is what determines the quality and therefore the price of a diamond. Gaining a clear understanding of the 4Cs will enable you to critically assessing diamonds during the purchase process.

As a Master Jeweller wand one of only two qualified diamond cutters in Australia, Gattea Jewellers' Noah Gattea has been trained by the world-renowned De Beers Group, the world’s leading authority on diamonds. Noah has completed Diamond Grading, Gemmology, Valuing and Diamond Cutting Accreditations and education and experience is a key part of the customer journey at Gattea Jewellers.

Communication & Confidence: Gattea Jewellers additional C’s

At Gattea Jewellers we add two very important additional C’s to our diamond experience: Communication and Confidence. These are more to do with our consummate customer service and the unique journey we take our customers on rather than the actual diamond itself, but we consider them just as important (if not more) as the other 4Cs.

Noah and the experienced Gattea team will closely guide you through the diamond selection process and explain all you need to know about the 4Cs. We will help you intimately understand and gain a true appreciation for the diamond you’ve selected, while also advising you on how best to care for it once we deliver the finished piece of artisan jewellery.

Through regular communication, we will keep you closely involved in the creation of your jewellery, giving you the confidence necessary to be satisfied that you are making the right choices for the best results. And your relationship with Gattea Jewellers doesn’t end once you’ve received your piece of jewellery; we are here for you whenever you need us.
